In the autumn of 2004, by the Yinding Bridge in Houhai, Beijing. Zengjiang Cheng discussed on “How to become an excellent drug R&D management talent”with several partners engaged in drug R&D . They reached a consensus on the urgency of expanding vision and refining, and decided to organize a salon for fellow travelers to discuss and embrace warmth together. The name of TONACEA came from the bar "Hutong Xie Yi", which was covered by weeping willow then, and "Tong Xie Yi" jumped out. This is "TONGXIEYI", which named for "TONACEA" in English.
Following the theme of drug R&D, TONGXIEYI Salon has rapidly grown into a forum organization with its original idea of "Gathering the first class and seeking insights" . The topics covered R&D technology, technology management and technology life. The area has also extended from Beijing to Suzhou. Many leading talents of novel drugs have come to TONACEA forum. More>>
Since TONACEA established in 2004, We have held more than 120 professional forums. In November 2012, with the mission of "Gathering novel drug R&D talents with vision and sense of mission. Exploring the scientific laws and business models of novel drug R&D. Promoting the healthy development of China's pharmaceutical industry", TONACEA Novel Drug Elite Club was founded in Suzhou. Professor Xun Zhu, an immunologist, was appointed as the first director, followed by Ruyi He, the former chief scientist of CDE.
