Suzhou Biomedical Industrial Park (BioBay) is located in Suzhou Industrial Park and serves as an innovation hub for cultivating the biomedical industry in the region. To date, BioBay has brought together over 550 high-tech R&D enterprises, forming industrial clusters in drug discovery, medical devices, and biotechnology. It has also established an innovative industrial ecosystem that attracts nearly 35,000 high-level R&D professionals for collaboration and exchange. As of now, 23 enterprises within the park have gone public on domestic or overseas stock exchanges (including three companies listed on two exchanges). Companies in the park attract approximately RMB 10 billion in social capital investment annually, with cumulative financing exceeding RMB 50 billion. Projects such as the Cold Spring Harbor Asia Conference Center have further positioned BioBay as a global hub for academic and industrial exchange in the life sciences field.
